Residential Care is long-term care given to people who stay in a residential setting rather than their own home or a family home.
Respite Care is planned, or emergency care provided to people on a short-term basis. This may be to allow primary caregivers a short break themselves.
Our Senior Day Care supports people who may be socially isolated, looking for companionship or in need of a little extra help throughout the day.
PRIMROSE BANK
Hello, and welcome to Primrose Bank, our family-run and owned Care Home.
Located just a stone’s throw away from the heart of Poulton-Le-Fylde, one of the Fylde Coasts most historic market towns, Primrose Bank has been taking care of it’s extended family since February 1988.
We’re proud to have the wellbeing, safety and happiness of our residents at the heart of our care as we continue to support them to live full, contented lives whilst enjoying retirement.
Residential Care is long-term care given to people who stay in a residential setting rather than their own home or a family home.
Primrose Bank is designed to accommodate senior adults who do not need 24-hour nursing care, but are unable to live independently. All our rooms are furnished, but we encourage people to make the place their own with photos, pictures and other creature comforts that give it that homely feel.
Your meals, housekeeping, laundry and entertainment are all included too, so you can enjoy all the creature comforts, and let us do the rest.
Respite Care is planned, or emergency care provided to caregivers of a child or adult…but in our case, it’s adults.
We provide short-term and time-limited breaks for families and caregivers. Respite also provides a positive experience for the person receiving care, and an opportunity to immerse yourself in life here.
Even though many families take great joy in providing care to their loved ones so that they can remain at home, the physical, mental and financial consequences for the family or caregiver can be overwhelming without some support such as respite.
Respite has been shown to help sustain caregiver health and wellness, avoid or delay out-of-home placements and reduce the likelihood of abuse or neglect.
Have you spoken to your local authority about the financial support you’re entitled to? Please see our advocacy section of the community page for some helpful links.
Our Senior Day Care supports people who may be socially isolated or in need of a little extra care throughout the day. We offer a meaningful and varied activity schedule that our day guests can take part in as much or as little as they like.
Whilst you’re with us, your food, drink, entertainment and activities are all included. We offer support with personal care if required, and even have some of the industries most advanced bathing facilities. So if that’s something that may be of benefit, we can help.

Great food is vital to physical and mental wellbeing, that’s why at Primrose Bank we believe in providing an exceptional eating experience.
PRIMROSE BANK
Steeped in history, Primrose Bank is an elegant Edwardian residence, sympathetically converted into a purposeful residential home that allows for privacy, choice and a dignified lifestyle.
Primrose Bank is a real family affair, with Directors Jackie Moore and Elle Abbas bringing up their children Rachel and Jenny in the original house. Whilst Jaqui and Ellie now play a smaller part in the operational side to Primrose Bank, Rachel, Rachel’s Husband Nick and Jenny have followed in their footsteps and now make up a large part of the Management Team.
