Each month our Activities & Wellbeing Team offer a full calendar of imaginative and creative events that our residents can access, taking part in as little or as much as they like. We use life history, hobbies, and interests to create a programme of physical activities such as seated exercise, Zumba or bowling, mental stimulation such as the quiz and creative workshops, something simple like support to access our home library, and social events that are certain to enrich the life of our residents. Some of our activities include:
- Weekly entertainers
- Seated exercise classes
- Art Class with tutor- suitable for all levels
- Trips out
- Knitting & Sewing
- Flower Arranging
- Happy Hour
- Karaoke & Sing-alongs
- Board Games
- Meditation and Yoga
Music makes the world go round and is a big part of what we do here, whether it’s from one of our many visiting entertainers or our very own residents taking the stage during a karaoke sing-along, we’ve always found music to be a powerful tool.
We have a great relationship with the wider community and feel it’s important to stay connected. We often work with local schools or colleges who visit for us to help with projects, or nurseries for play dates, keeping us young at heart.
At Primrose Bank, we love to think outside the box, so we recently had a 3-hole putting green built in the garden. We also had an event to raise money for Sport Relief where we teamed up with Fortitude Fitness and our residents used one of their bikes to ride a combined distance of 100km.
